Dr. Jimmeh, or "Dr. Dee" as she is affectionately known, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Xavier University of Louisiana, New Orleans, with a Bachelor of Science in 2002. She went on to complete medical school at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2006. She then completed her Internal Medicine Internship, 2007, and a Neurology Residency, finishing in the top 10 percentile at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, 2010. Finally, Dr. Jimmeh matriculated through a Neurophysiology/EMG Fellowship at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, as the Chief Clinical Neurophysiology Fellow in 2011.
Dr. Jimmeh holds admitting privileges at area hospitals. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), the National Medical Association (NMA), and the Mineral District Medical Society (MDMS). Also, Dr. Jimmeh is a board member of the UAB Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC) Young Professional Board, as well as the Myasthenia Gravis Society. Finally, Dr. Jimmeh is a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
